The role of boundary management in open innovation: towards a 3D perspective

Purpose The aim of this paper is to investigate the role boundary management when firms should implement open innovation. Design/methodology/approach relevant literature on strategic management, firm boundaries and innovation fields revised critically assessed. An interpretive-qualitative methodology applied analyse empirical data obtained from a questionnaire subsequent interviews sample Italian listed firms.
